Recently my husband and I traveled to California wine country- Napa and Sonoma counties. Needless to say, we had an amazing trip. We visited over 12 wineries where we met and spoke with wine owners and vintners, took in the beautiful vineyard/mountain scenery, and partook in a number of wine pairings (one even involved a master sommelier!). Although we had a fabulous time and tasted some of the best wine in the country, we realized how much we take east coast "wine country" for granted. Living in south-central PA, we are within two hours drive from more than 80 wineries! The east coast mountains are equally beautiful in their own way, the vineyards are quaint and charming, and we have found many east coast wines to be well-rounded and pleasant! On to the purpose of this blog...
I decided to create this blog to detail my experiences with wineries, festivals, and anything else involving wine in the PA, MD, and VA tri-state area. As I visit the wineries, I will blog about my experiences: ONLY POSITIVE EXPERIENCES. It is not my goal to speak negatively about any wineries and wines; if I should have a negative experience, I simply will not blog about it.
